A small sample of our extensive range of products. As well as Shetland Lamb we stock only the finest quality assured beef and pork sourced from farms in the North-East of Scotland. Our beef olives are especially popular being made in three varieties - oatmeal, saucermeat or haggis.

All our large range of sausages and burgers are made on the premises and are in great demand for summer barbecues. Our recently introduced Italian meatballs in a tomato and herb sauce, make a great meal when served with pasta or rice.

Our saucermeat is still made to a traditional recipe using our own unique blend of spices. We produce approximately 200kg per week. Our saucermeat was featured on ITV food programme "Scotland's Larder".

REESTIT MUTTON

Before freezers were invented, Shetlanders had a special way of salting and smoking mutton to last the long winter through. For centuries "reestit" mutton soup was an essential standby. Now it's a prized delicacy, particularly at the New Year festivities. The unique flavour comes from soaking the meat in a salt pickle (each family had its own recipe) and then hanging it up to cure in the rafters above a peat fire.
